Stop the Bleed Class

Bystanders save lives! Learn the skills you need to respond to situations where people are in urgent need of care, the moments between an incident and first responders arrival are critical to saving lives. Stop the Bleed training is designed to help ANY and EVERYONE be prepared to help.

Class Dates

The sessions are held at our headquarters at 1427 Main Street, Peekskill. This training is free for those who attend but you must pre-register, walk ins not permitted.

No experience necessary to attend this class.

Topics that will be covered include; The ABCs of Stop the Bleed, Tourniquets, wound packing, pressure bandages, hands on training with equipment as well!

***Parking*** There is free parking for anyone who attends the class behind our headquarters. There is a narrow driveway next to our building that leads to the parking lot in the back. Please park in parking spots only. Please do not park on our front apron!

​Peekskill Community Volunteer Ambulance Corp offers BLS CPR training to the public and healthcare providers for $35.00. (This is the best price in the area!) Cost covers the American Heart Association Book as well as the certification card.

Training includes:

• Adult, Child & Infant CPR
• Choking 
• Barrier Devices
• Bag Valve Mask
• Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)

BLS CPR classes are offered every first Thursday of the month @ 6pm.

Please RSVP by purchasing a ticket on EventBrite (links below) to reserve a seat. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED, WALK INS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE ACCOMMODATED, Number of tickets purchased will determine the number of instructors available to teach course.

Classes are limited to 12 people so that we can keep a safe distance.
